Is this your first time applying for a visa and/or visiting our site?

NOTICE:

The U.S. Embassy in Managua resumed nonimmigrant visa processing on September 18, 2018, and is currently accepting new immigrant visa cases. The National Visa Center will schedule immigrant visa cases for interviews in its normal priority order.  The Embassy will increase the number of appointments as resources permit.  However, applicants should expect long waits for appointments during the next several months, particularly for business/tourism visa interviews.

The Embassy will prioritize:

  • Services to U.S. citizens (see https://ni.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/ for available services)
  • Immigrant visa cases already pending at the Embassy
  • Emergency nonimmigrant visa services, limited to:
    • Travelers with urgent, life-threatening medical circumstances.
    • Nonimmigrant visa services for students and exchange visitors with program report dates within 30 days.
    • Urgent Business or NGO Travel
    • Funeral/Death
