Visa Fees

On this page:

Overview

All Immigrant Visa fees are payable in U.S. dollars or Korean won at the Embassy's exchange rate on the day of the applicant's interview. Payments may be made in cash (dollars or Korean won), U.S. Postal Money Orders, or "Logoed" credit/debit card: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Diners/Discover. Personal checks are not accepted. A combination of U.S. dollars and Korean won will not be accepted.

For your information, fees paid to U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services in Seoul to file the Form I-130 may not be paid by credit card.

Applicants who have paid their immigrant visa fee to NVC are not required to pay additional fees unless the applicant has paid only a partial amount to NVC. Anyone subject to a balance of IV fees will be informed during his or her visa interview.

All fiancé/e (K1/K2) visa applicants must pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee in cash at any Citibank branch in Korea.  Before going to Citibank, print the applicable U.S. visa fee deposit slip. Take the printed deposit slip with you to pay your fee.  Citibank will issue you a receipt upon payment.  It cannot be replaced if it is lost.

If your bank supports electronic funds transfers (EFT), you may also pay your MRV application fee with an EFT directly from your bank account.  Please refer to the details on EFT.
